Young Uttarakhand is an All India Registered Society (Reg. No. 75759) and is a joint effort of the Youths of Uttarakhand to bring together all Uttarakhandis living in different parts of the country and world on a single platform and synergize their energy for the Development of Uttarakhand and its people.
The Society further not just aims to preserve and flourish the rich culture and heritage of the Land of Gods but also to to help the Students & Youths of Uttarakhand achieve self-sustainability.
Here are some of projects where we working for weaker economic section, children and needy people of Uttarakhand, India.
Project - 1 Essay Writing
This is our first project where we sending letters to different schools of Uttarakhand for organising Essay writings at their schools and get back the entries. After checking of all entries by well known professors, we distribute cash prizes sending through Money Order and certificate signed by Honourable personality. Where our aim is to bring out the general awareness & capability of students. We are organising this project since last 6 years successfully.
Project - 2 Career Guidance Camp
This is our second work area where we providing awareness about career to the students of remote villages of Uttarakhand by our Experts and Professionals. And the guidance provided by Experts is volunterliy based.
** First camp we organised at GIC Baangidhar,Maulekhal, Sult Almora on dt. 24th September, 2007. Where we donate books regarding career guidance and awarded students with certificates and annual fees. In this camp we sponsored one poor student and deposited fee of 5 students (including two handicapped students)
** Second camp we organized at GGIC and GIC Agstya Muni, Rudrapryag on dt. 01-10-2007. Where we donate books regarding career guidance and awarded students with certificates and annual fees. In this camp we sponsored deposited fee of 9 students and also subscribe magazine Pratiyogita darpan and Employment news for one year.
** Third career guidance camp we organised on 12th January 2009 at GIC, Manila , Where we distribute scholarship to seven students and certificates and donate approx 35 career guidance related books to school library. And the career tips given by Mr Jyoti Sang renowned Journalist and Writer and Mr Purnendu Singh Chauhan to students.
Project - 3 Free Medical Check up
This is our third task to provide medical facilities to the economic weaker section and in the remote of Uttarakhand where an advance medical facility is a dream. Where we bring closer the villagers with the Doctors of Escorts Heart Institute and Reasearch Centre, Delhi and metro Hospitals and Research Institute, Delhi.
** First Camp we organized at Government Hospital, Bhikyasen , Almora on dt. 12-13 January 2008. A large number of villagers from nearby and remote villages turned up to avail themselves of the benefits of the Camp, which had a Senior Heart Specialist from Escorts Hospital, Delhi equipped with ultra modern machines to undertake tests involving ECG, Echocardiograph, etc. A total number of 300 heart patients were registered for the camp and the Senior Heart Specialist from Escorts diagnosed the patients and issued prescriptions.
** Second camp we organized at Government Hospital Jakholi, Rudraprayag on dt. 26-27 April 2008. in association with Metro Hosppital & Heart Institute Delhi. A large number of villagers from nearby and remote villages turned up to avail themselves of the benefits of the Camp and approximately 350 local people had availed themselves facilities of this Medical Camp
** Third camp we organized at Government Hospital, Pratap nagar, Tehri garhwal on dt. 29-30 November 2008. A large number of villagers from nearby and remote villages turned up to avail themselves of the benefits of the Camp, which had a Senior Heart Specialist from Escorts Hospital, Delhi equipped with ultra modern machines to undertake tests involving ECG, Echocardiograph, etc. A total number of 300 heart patients were registered for the camp and the Senior Heart Specialist from Escorts diagnosed the patients and issued prescriptions.
